I use IMX SJR 781's and 782's for crappies. Probably not the best casting rods, but with 4lb YZ Hybrid or Fireline, I can throw a weighted bobber and jig pretty far.
These are the style I like. Only thing I don't like is you can't see lift bites.

You may even consider 2lb line. It sucks cuz it breaks so easy, but you can really cast it some distance!
