    Minumum Water Pressure

I have a 2000 Mercury 175hp Pro XS Optimax model# 1175P73EY. In reaching top performance speeds and at optimal trim what is the minimum water pressure of this mercury motor? Thanks

Bare minimum is 12 psi. Prefer to see 15+ for safe measure in turns.

Moving this question to the 2.5L Forum for you.

That is fine Don. I had heard 12 psi and then I heard 9 psi. Just needed to find out and make sure. Going to a lake this weekend to set up motor for best performance. At present it is set up close but going to check and make sure it is right.
