Question New Shooting / Bench Rest

Looking for a new shooting rest. I use sand bags filled with air balls now but want a good rest.
I found some GREAT reviews for a PRIMOS PRI-65452M Group Therapy Bench Anchor.
Anyone have one? I can get it thru Walmart for $61.54 delivered, which is a good price.
Any input from you guys?? Appreciate it.

Looks Identical to the older Caldwells (accept adjuster)

I have no personal experience with that one, but have had some time using the Caldwells.......AS long as it doesn't make the rifle move you're good. I still use a Lyman Front & Stock bag for the rear myself. Less clutter & easier to pack & move IMO.

Thanks for the reply Ryan. I did some research and many liked the PRIMOS. They all had the same bitch though. They did not like the rear stock slot
as it needed to have wedges to secure the butt.
SO, I ordered just the Caldwell Front rest. I can still use my bags for the stock butt and saved $35. I think I went the right way for what I wanted.

Best rest I've ever used! With a small pinch bag to support the butt

I have not used one of those but I have looked at one hard & wondered if they would be secure & Stable. Glad to hear some feedback on them for sure

My set up looks similar to this
    http://www.sportsmansguide.com/produ...rest?a=1722749

but it's a Lyman from base with Front Owl bag & rear bag is smaller with the bunny ear design but is full grain leather.

    Similar to this

    but not exact.

That thing grabs the gun like a vice! What I like about it is it grabs the whole length of the forearm it's not just a rest. On the downside I have to set it on a piece of 2x12 to get the gun high enough off the bench for me to shoot it, but I'm a big guy.

Dump the airballs and put real sand in the bags. Use what you have and forget about the metal framed rest gizmo's.
