Prop choices for a Cajun 1900 Tournament

Hello Guys this is my 1st post so be easy on me! I have a 1991 Cajun Tournament 1900 bass boat with a carburated 200 Hp Mercury on it. It has a 6 inch manual jackplate also. I am looking at props and have tried a few that I could borrow. Right at the moment I am using a 23 pitch Laser II which is not big enough. 65 mph GPS but at 6500 rpm. I also tried a Bravo 1, 4 blade 26 pitch. Terrible holeshot but it ran 65 mph but only 5400-5500 rpm. The Bravo didn't have exhaust holes so I think that was part of the poor holeshot. The boat ran and handles great with the 4 blade though. But I think 26 pitch is to much for my setup. My question is would a fury 3 or 4 blade would work best and 24 or 25 pitch? Also a Tempest pro or a Trophy 4 blade considered too. Thanks in advance for any advise!!

24 or 25" tempest depending on how heavy you run.

Yep,try a Tempest+ as stated above. I had a Rajun Cajun 190 once, Tempest was the best prop on that.

Thanks for the replies! Any reason for a tempest over the Fury? I think the Fury is a newer design but this boat is fairly heavy and 19 !/2 ft long that's why I'm asking. The Tempest is a little less expensive too. Problem is for me there's hardly any dealers close by me that even stock these props much less let someone try before you buy.

I think all the Cajuns were heavy, mine weighed a ton. A Tempest has a little longer blades and usually has a little better bow lift, gets that heavy hull up a little better.

Now that you mention it when I had the Bravo 4 blade on it which has a large diameter. The boat did feel like it was getting higher than any of the other props I've tried so the Tempest may be the answer because it has a larger diameter than the Fury! Thanks for the info Rip Bass!!
