92 stratos 274dcc need help i'm new to the group

I have a 92 274dcc with a 2000 evinrude ficht I have no hole shot and my top speed is 43mph on gps and help would be great I have a 6" or 8" jack plate please help

Try the Evinrude/Johnson motors forum and post your motor's serial number. They'll be able to help you.

What size motor is it, 150 or 175? If it's either of those with a 6" plate you should be able to turn a 24 raker original, set it at 3.5" below pad, it should turn 5500-5700 rpms with speed in the low 60's. If that setup doesn't get you any better results and/or your motor can't turn that prop more than let's say 5300 RPM's something is wrong your motor. Which it sounds like something is amiss already. For a good holeshot strap on a 23 renegade with some cup added!
