    What is the 1st year model 225 Opti that you can read engine hours on

    That's what I thought but hooked up my MEDS and can read live data but no history or hours. Might just need an update to software on my system. Thanks

    1997.5 (Pre-Production model) had engine hours.


    Dual Mercury Master Technician- for Mercury Outboards, Mercruiser and Mercury Racing at European Marine in Greenville, SC.
    Still consider myself a "Marine Apprentice" after 47 years (learn something new every day).

    Thanks Don, I have the CDI MEDS software and have always been able to get hours as well as history and faults but when hooked up to a 1999 225 opti #0G804396 I can only get system info and live data, so don't know whats up with that

    Yep was a software glitch. Motor has 351 hrs. Not bad for year model
