Is the HD in the head unit and not the Transducer. Bought a 998 HD SI minus Xducer and was going to buy one. I have a 997 SI
already. Am I understanding there is no difference between the 2 duvets?

HD means it has LED backlighting. The 998c SI Combo has CCFL backlighting like the 997.
All three have the same standard transducer and the same display pixel count.
