    Shelbyville

Good morning Illinois Heading to Shelby again today as the crappie bite has been pretty good the last week or so. Have I said I love being retired?

yep, that and the 58 degree water was late in the afternoon, on the north end and in 5 foot of water. Crappie will continue to move up and I'd bet I could catch a few bass end of next week. Barring heavy rains and/or a huge cold spell, the signs point to good fishing early this year.

That's good to hear. I have heard Shelbyville has been on the decline the past few years. I always enjoyed fishing there unless it was a 4th of July weekend.

A little rough on that weekend for sure. Memorial day and Labor day weekends aren't much better. I avoid weekends and holidays for the most part and my blood pressure has dropped.
