Not a gander fan, sooner they die off the better......
Never enjoyed going to Gander. Seems like they always sold the fishing department short, had alot more hunting and camping items.
Not the first time they have declared bankruptcy...

I've bought a ton from the two stores near me closing. One of them closed to move to a brand new building. We will see if it's a "reorganizing" bankruptcy or if they are just going to close completely. IMHO, they had a better selection of bass gear than Bass Pro in CO.

I got a 20% off regular priced items GM coupon in the mail. I bought a bunch of stuff today with that discount. They had their fishing racks all stocked up and ready to go for spring.
GM always had a decent selection of stuff I use. They did offer sales occasionally. But I usually bought things that I needed a pack or two at a time. Everytime I put a Tackle Warehouse order in I would buy way too much stuff. So Gander filled that niche when I needed just Yum Dingers, Sunkist, Flukes, hooks, etc.
They are an American company employing Americans. Don't know why all the negative comments on them.

I like going to their store, granted I don't buy much there; but they do carry some stuff that Bass Pro and academy don't carry.

The one near me leaves a lot to be desired. Won't miss it.
LET'S GO BLUES!!! WILL WE MAKE THE PLAYOFFS IN 2024?
Gander Mountain is the only decent all around sporting goods store within an hour of me, that I am aware of. I hate to see them close!!
To report any post you disagree with press Alt + F4.
I thought gander filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy which means they aren't closing and gives them more time to pay debt off and figure out a financial plan?
So when's the sales start?
If you go to their website it says they are reorganizing. Gander has hired a firm to help with this, doesn't say anything about closing stores
They tried reorganizing with the gun shop change a couple years ago.
I don't know if they're closing stores or not but less competition is never good for the consumer..If it gets down to just a couple of big box stores be ready for higher prices and lower quality..
