    819 Full HDS Install

I'm getting ready to replace the Hooks that the dumbass owner ordered on this boat (me being the owner). I have all the cables I need for networking the two Gen 3 9s and I will also install the MercMonitor at the same time. Still undecided on where to mount the LSS2. haven't even looked to see where I can install it, I know along the jackplate will work. But no sure if I like that spot and considering under the hull step in the back.

is there anything else I need to complete this install? I know tie wraps and maybe a fish tape. What else?

I like using the fiberglass rods better than a fish tape.....on the LSS 2 i got the TSS bracket for the holeshot plate (TH Marine jp). Didnt want to screw holes in the transom. Also while i had my console apart, i installed a fuse box with switch so i could add other things for power like the NMEA network, USB charger, etc.....since you are doing the MM you have the nmea network cables to connect MM to your units.

Silicone for mounting the bracket transducer.
It helps to have a buddy there for an extra set of hands.

The rest just depends on how you're installing. You shouldn't run into too many issues.

Also to help with running the wires i removed the rear light holder and the fiberglass rods have a straight shot to the console. Amd if you plan on mounting ducer to hull maybe look at the sternmate or stern saver mounting bracket to keep from putting unwanted holes.

That LSS2 needs to be on the jack plate or directly under it, not on the step down

Mount it in the center of your hole shot plate. Will need a wedge, but works great.

I was gonna use the Transducer Shield bracket to mount alongside the jp, but that thing is 'spensive. I do have the holeshot plate and if it can get mounted there that seems easy. Yes, I did not find the bracket on TH marine.

Do you guys have a sidescan ducer up on the TM, or just switch over to the LSS2 on the transom?

Those were my first attempts. I did make drawings for the totalscan mount and my cousin is going to water jet me the parts for several of them and see what happens. Pretty convenient when one of us owns a welding business and the other a water jet and multi axis cncs.
