well they probably owned that part of the lake, and the shoreline you were just fishing, was it roped off with big "NO FISHING" signs??? man ,,the nerve of some people, its public water, fish where ever , you did nothing wrong, they probably were having a bad day and needed to blame you for their poor ability to catch fish,, some people just suck.

Should have told them no need for them to fish from where you just came from as you just pulled 5 big ones from that one area and are coming on this side to see if you can do the same thing!

Was fishing this past weekend just to be out and enjoy the weather. Hitting some areas I've never fished, I pulled in on a point at a channel bend to make a few quick shots with a SB then back out on the other side and hit the bluff end with a jig. As I rounded the point I met another boat fishing coming at me. I knew they were there first since I didn't hear them pull in so I just kicked the troller up and moved out to pass and let them have the point. The plan was to fall in behind them and fish going away. As I passed I said good morning and apologized for pulling in front of them but didn't know they were there. The return remarks were not what I expected and they were not pleased at all that I was pulling in behind them even though I was going away. When they saw me as we both rounded the point they made no gesture that they were turning to go back down the bank. So what do y'all feel was the right thing to do?

You did fine. If they had a problem with that, then it's their problem.

Seems like now days no matter how close or far away from somebody you get, they get butt hurt so why even bother. I just stick my ear buds in, tune them out, and smile.
