    Any idea what this might be?

    Sorry I'm a sonar novice and dont know how to screen shot on my elite 7 ti yet. But this was very interesting. 124 feet depth bubbles appear to originate from around 60 feet depth.

    Maybe. I thought it could have been a boat, but there was no flotsam in the water at all. No fuel or oil, not even a gum wrapper.

    I saw this at 9:30AM and searched around for about 20 minutes to be sure there was no one that needed help. When I came back around 3:30PM no more bubbles, I set a waypoint on my GPS just in case I heard about a missing boat.

    ETA: Misread your post. I read SINK. LOL

    No, it did not stink.

    Methane release is what I had in mind. Close though. Although true methane is odorless, it must mix with something to create the stench.
