    Prop help with new 2017 21trx w/ 250 SHO & 10" hydraulic jp.

Guys, I got my replacement 21trx Friday and got to take it out yesterday. I added a 10" hydraulic jack plate and (2) HDS 12'S at console and a HDS 12 & 9 at the bow. I currently have a 26p Fury on it and with my 2014 trx I would run 72-74mph @ 5800rpm and had a really good hole shot. Yesterday I would hit 67mph @ 6000rpm. I know I need more time behind the wheel but I was curious what some other guys may be running.

The boat has (2) 8' blades

FYI: The hole shot was WICKED!! I am looking for more top end. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

More rpms and less speed with same prop. Sounds like your motor is too high. My 2017 is also slower than my 14 was and had to change to a Fury 4 to get it to lift. Holeshot is good because front end is heavier on the 17.

Did you try running the fury deeper.

I ran it from top to bottom just bumping my jack plate up as I went.

What kind of numbers are you seeing with the 4 blade and what pitch are you running?

I'm running a 25" Fury 4. Got it to 75 by myself Friday morning. It's a 70-72mph boat loaded to fish with two 275 pound fishermen.

Have a 2016 with a 250 proXS and run a 26p tempest. Can get 75+ with a full tourney load; will get close to 80 running light. Bought a 26p Fury 4 blade also. Looking forward to seeing what happens with that on there.

My 22trx runs better with a Tempest pro 25 than my 25 Fury.

I second this. Seems like you are running a heavy Load. The Fury 4 is designed for heavier loads and would allow you to get another mile an hour or so
