They are automatic as long as the water level is above the actual oxygenators and the recirculate pump is on for each side...

^^what he said^^. I have a 2013 Z9 and I thought mine were not working but KCLOST is correct. Fill your livewells up and turn the recirc on. Look for the little bubbles coming off the oxygenators.
