Anyone ever use Bass Pro deep cyle batteries?

In need of 3 new trolling batteries and I noticed bass pro has their deep cycles on sale. Anyone have thought or opinions on them?

I have not used them but I have a friend who uses them exclusively, he was actually telling me yesterday that he was going to buy some new ones today because of the classic sale. He said he has very good luck with them.

I have them. Only a year old so I can't comment on longcity. Stay charged and fish all day so far.

Yes, the flooded deep cycle XPS 27 series (and 31 series) are rebadged Dekas. I read on another thread that the sale price on the 27's are 100 dollars each, reduced from 170.
You can get those same 27's at Sam's Club (80 dollars), O Reilly's (90 dollars), and Batteries Plus (90 dollars on line and store pick up) all of the time. The 31 series are only 5-15 dollars more at each of these three places.

BPS up here in Canada does the same thing. The 27 flooded deep cycle is normally 210 dollars Canadian, and I can buy the identical rebadged Deka elsewhere for 120 dollars.

Another reason I rarely shop at BPS.

NAPA sells them too. If you know an account holder they can get the 27 for $80

I've never had a problem with them and have used (and abused) them for years. I have Interstates in my new boat but will go with the BPS style when the time comes.

I always go with the WalMart Everstart Maxx. If and when they go bad, there is a WalMart around every corner.

I have always used the everstart as well in the past but the last 2 years I have had nothing but problems with them. I was told that they changed manufacturers.
