Hey fred i gotta question. Im finally getting around to buy a motor. Im looking at a 98 225 evinrude vendicator. A individual is selling it. He doesnt know the compression but he says its a great motor. He just repowered. The motor is on a stand. Is there a way we can check the compression on it with out it being hooked up to the boat? Im not saying hes lying but you know money is hard to come by. Thank you fred

Sure you can. Hook up a battery to the solenoid and any clean ground pull the plug wires off the plugs and use a remote start button to spin the motor over.
