I was going to change my lower unit oil this weekend but everybody around me is out of the Yamaha marine gearcase lube. Is There anything comparable to it? Thank You.

My local mechanic gave me Mercury for my SHO. Just changed it last week. I'm sure it's just as good as Yamaha lower unit oil

It doesnt matter as long as its marine use. Now, I wouldnt go full generic. I ordered Amsoil for my new motor to put in after break in.
