    Phoenix 721 SHO prop question

I just bought a phoenix 721 with a 250 sho. Its running a power tech vmx3 27pitch prop. Prop to pad is 3.5 and rpm is around 5900-6000 at WOT but im only getting about 73mph out of it with just me (no tackle), 1/4 tank of gas and the wind at my back. That seems awefully slow compared to the stats i see people posting and videos ive seen.

How is everyone i see getting 76-78mph out of their 721?
    Will a different prop help?

Have you driven a performance boat before? Don't take it the wrong way but a lot of guys are used to driving a different boat than a Phoenix where sometimes youactaully have to drive it. You also may need to come up a bit on the p2p.

I don't think you have the right prop. A 25t1, 26fxp are really good and I have a worked 26 tempest I've been running. The tempest needs some more bite but it will run good in the summer. The t1 will run

    I have a sho... The T1's...25 or 26p. I have a T1-25 on 921, it's perfect...Also an FXP 25p almost as fast, and nearly zero torque.
FXP is very easy to drive.

How many hours your SHO have? A SHO will not fully reach it's potential till it has around 20 plus hours on it...Go through the same thing every year!!

thats just all she would do thats balls to the wall im pretty impressed with the boat what little chine there is (not much) is really easy to handle...it chined before because prop to pad was 4inches but i raised it to 3.5 which almost eliminate most of the chine. i wasnt sure if i should raise it anymore since my rpms are already where they need to be or if i should just try a different prop

Raise it to 3" and try again but I think a 25t1 will run a lot better

T1 25 p, Send it to mark Croxton, give him your prop to pad numbers, rpms and have him blueprint it. With it almost empty, the SHO should see 76-78.
