    Chipped gel to mat

    Are small chips in the gel on the bottom of my boat a big issue? You can see a little mat on one of them so I'm going to get it fixed ASAP. Just wondering if it would've caused any issues. It is located to the left of the pad on the bottom of the boat. Guessing I either fix with marine Tex or gel.

    Normal gelcoat chips down to the the resin/mat layer should not cause any issues unless the resin layer under the gelcoat was also chipped out and bare glass mat fibers were exposed.
    Easy fox with either Marine-Tex or grel.
