    Tr186 prop question

Will a 21m yamaha prop be a good choice for the following setup?

    2002 tr186 dc
    2002 yamaha hpdi 150
6" manual plate w holeshot plate
    Dual 10' pp blades

boat had a 25 tempest on it but holeshot wasnt the best. I know common prop is a 23 but wondered about the addition of the poles.

Im not real concerned about speed but want a good holeshot

Probably a 23M instead of a 25. That motor should have 2.0 gears and a 23 is what they use on merc's with 1.86 gears.

Consider a 23 Pitch 4 blade Trophy+ or Trophy; my TR 186 jumps right out of the hole, acceleration is great with minimal reduction in top end speed.

They use 23" props on Mercury motors geared at 1.87 without poles. You have 2.0 gearing and a 23 M should work. You should be on Anna Sat.
