Anyone ever remove the Aux Gas tanks in thier boat???

I am looking to get more storage out of my boat and wondered if moving my batteries to the place where the saddle bag tanks are at would help. Don't even know if this is possible to do. I have 20xd and the back compartment is really packed and I never use the saddle bags.

I cut them out of my 21xdc. I had to cut them out with a dremel tool. It adds a lot of storage. If you want you can just cut the top out and use it like a box. When you remove the entire tank you are staring at the hull not a false floor.

Might just cut the top out of them. Would really like to use one as a oil tank instead of the merc oil tank. Can that be done? I would assume it could be done.

Yep. Mine had 1 auxiliary tank when I got it. Had never been used, and I never planned to use it, so I took it out. A reciprocating saw and a dremel tool will take care of it.

Waited 16 years to own a Bullet. Don't think I have taken it out in a year. I have been traveling a lot for my job over the last3 years and now I am back home. It's my hotrod. I don't think I could ever sell it.

How hard would it be to take the whole tank out? Or could you gauge this based on your experience?

You'd either have to remove the complete boat cap or cut the tank up in small pieces!
