    No front end lift

Boat is a 04 Ranger 521 with a Mercury Optimax 225 motor, Fury 24p 3 blade prop, and a hydro jackplate. Boats top end is low, and the nose stays down. Would re proping help? What prop? Any ideas? Thanks guys

And, everyone is going want to see a closeup picture of the prop. Particularly the edge of the blades.

    Is it a 521 or a V21? I thought they were still all V21's in 04.

Either way I prefer a tempest on those boats, lots of people run fury's but I feel I've had better luck with a tempest when setting them up.

Thats alot of boat for that motor. With that big of a boat and that small of a motor i would think you would benefit from a 4 blade. Bravo XS, Fury 4 or a Razor 4 not the XL.

+ 1. In my experience the fury is not the best prop for bow heavy boats that need lift to run

Fury does not carry the nose high, it tends to lift the transom with a flatter ride, it also likes to be run lower in the water . The Tempest will lift and carry the nose and likes to run 1/2" higher in the water then a Fury.

My Fury 4 lifts my boat better than my tempest ever did even after Croxton BB it. My tempest ran best at 3 1/4 under pad and my fury 4 runs real good at 2 1/2 under pad

Everyone is talking about the original 3 blade fury, there aren't enough fury 4's out for enough people to have run to get a good consensus.

Hopefully the fury 4 is much improved and lifts better than the original 3 blade. The tempest is a better prop IMO for bass boats.

I believe he is talking about the 3 blade Fury prop. The 3 blade Fury deffenitly likes to run deeper in the water and gives a flatter ride the a Tempest. A tempest likes to run higher and carries the bow higher. A 4 blade would be a different story.

I know this. Being he has a big boat with a 225 i was sharing my results of my fury4 to give him another prop option. The fury 4 is not your typical 4 blade. There are plenty out there now. Just search the boards. I would say 90 percent of people are really happy with it and we've had some really good guys testing with good results. Fury 4 carries a good load with a heavy boat and is fast for a 4 blade. And pretty much every testing including mine the fury 4 loves to ride high not low on Rangers. Im sure some boats may like to run a fury 4 low. As you can see in my pic which was running a fury 4 has my boat lifted and out of 4 blades that i have tested none of them lifted my boat like that

I'd say a 25 Tempest would be what you're looking for
