Where to stay at Golconda
The farmhouse we used to rent has been sold and we are left finding a good place to stay. Don't like Michael's, anywhere else close and good accommodations where you can pull a rig up next to the place. We tried the Golconda Lock & Dam 51 Houses last year and there was just no parking. We like to stay close to the marina.

Deer run campground 1 (618) 683-8410. Less than 5 minutes south of town. $15 a man. Clean cabins with community bath and shower. Real nice folks. Plenty of room to pull up next to cabin and charge. Just have to bring your own bedding and towels. Always stay there for BFLs.

+1 for Deer Run Campground/cabins. Cleanest showers and bathrooms that you will ever find at a campground. Its a small, quiet place and nothing at all like a "typical" campground. Every tournament that I've fished out of Golconda it always seems like the vast majority of the anglers stay at Deer Run.

Barren Creek Cottages if you want a house for a lot of guys.
