Are the maxxum and fortrex mounts interchangeable?

I have a friend that is wanting to upgrade his maxxum 101 to a new fortrex 112. I have a fortrex 80 on my boat and was just wondering if I bought it from him could I just swap the main unit into my fortrex mount. I have done a little research and couldn't find anything about it. Seems like if the shafts are the same diameter I could just swap the pedal, cables, head, shaft, and motor into my fortrex mount, add a third battery for 36v and I would have a fortrex 101. Am I correct in assuming this or is it more complicated than that, or not possible? Thanks.

I believe this is not possible. The maxxum mount head has a long horizontal pin that attaches it the main arm. Whereas the Fortrex has a vertical Allen head screw mount.

You would have to change the bowguard out also, but yes, it could be done.

Thanks. I'll look at it a little closer and see if it's worth doing or not.

Did you find out if this works?

I have a Maxxum 101 Pro and my muddy has a Fortrex 101 with bow guard but no Fortrex mount. Can I put the Fortrex (minus bow guard) into my current Maxxum bow guard and attach to the Maxxum bracket?

    Thanks for your help!
