06' 225 pro xs water pressure issue

My water pressure gauge isn't showing pressure at idle or wot. The pressure sensor is reading enough pressure to be satisfied and is not setting any alarms and it is teed off of same hose coming out of engine. I have blown the hose out from t fitting to the gauge no clogging at all. I put regulated 25 psi straight to the gauge connected with a short piece of hose and it only reads around 8 psi. Same thing if i put the 25 psi at the motor before the T fitting. I guess question is, can a water pressure gauge just be off that much? I just assumed that they usually stay pegged out or dont move at all when they are bad. Any help would b great. Thanks.

Freezing temps are hard on gauges.
If just a little water works its way to gauge through tubing its gone.

When you email her, send her a picture of your current gauge.
