1989 285 PRO live well problem

My live well levers are stuck in the open position which means I can only fill to water level of drains. Can I even get to these shut offs to work on them? Am I better off just removing the drain screens and using plugs to hold water in live wells?

Yep sounds like bad valves . You will have remove the back battery and oil tank and un-screw the pandel ....lease that how my older 1988 201 was .
You can also remove the cable and if it free then its the valves .
You can unscrew the screens inside the live well also .....best of luck .....just order a valve for minds off the Ebay store .
