Top 10 happiest and Top 10 most miserable states

I would say all the states who don't require you to pay state income taxes would be a plus for the happy ones along with a very low gas tax. How about the states where you can go to which ever bathroom you want to use??

Apparently that is not the case as TN with no income tax and low gas tax is in the bottom ten. What a joke.

its ironic that West Virginia is always at or near the bottom of these type of list yet there aren't many states that love their state as much as West Virginians love theirs.

I agree on the that list. Most of those states are border states who still think tourists are Yankees taking advantage of their state. I find Missouri and Tennessee to be nice people. Kentucky > Haven't been back to Kentucky Lake in 15 years.

I think most states have something great to offer! Don't know how they come up with this at all. Ive traveled around several states and have found that most people are very nice and seem fairly content. If as many people as this suggests are unhappy there would be some kind of mass exodus. I don't see it. Could have been taken when it was 100 plus degrees in the some states and about 60 in others?
