Don't be butthurt because you have a MG. and that's a weak insult because you know I meant 1 out of every 5. I bet the ratio is closer to 1 out of 10.

+1 Will be making the upgrade to Ultrex too just for the deep water ease. As for MG....had 4, 2 steering cables broke in 1st yr costing me tourneys.Once you go MK with that mount you won't want to touch a MG. Besides reliability, that MG mount is loud and stepping on the head to get it to deploy was ridiculous

Your old fortrex will install in the ultrex mount by removing the one socket head bolt.

Well I Put my new ultrex on Saturday fished Saturday evening and Sunday. The motor is great catch a fish or retie spot lock is great. I have been a mg guy for years new rig has fotrex now ultrex MK mount is far superior to the MG. I did hit the North button a lot on the ultrex don't like the placement of the button.

The ultrex won't go in The fortrex mount but it will on the flip side. My pedal keeps getting stuck in the toe down position. They are sending me out a new one. Hopefully it was a fluke because they said they hadn't had that problem yet. I'm on the fence about just selling the new one but it was absolutely awesome the three times I've gotten to use it.

Yep! They like to see those satellites!!! Mine went crazy under a bridge trying to stay out of the rain, and almost ran me ashore....people say what they want, but when you get on the pedal of an electric steer and call on it....it will MOVE!

Used the Ultrex on my new boat Saturday. Only for about 10 minutes. That was enough to know that it's one of the greatest things to come along in bass fishing in awhile. I love it. Buy one and never look back.

I heard that the trolling motor foot pedal does not fit into the recessed foot pedal locations on some older boats. Any confirmations of this? Would you still buy Poles or Talons if you had a Ultrex first?

Really want one, but I am going to wait a year for the new product issues to be taken care of. Really think it's better for me in New England than a set of power poles.
