    2016 x19 with 200 sho

Trying to figure out what prop to run on my xpress! It came with a 25p powertech vmx3 no matter if the boat was fully loaded or empty couldn't get it to turn over 5300 rpm running 63-64! I tried a 25p tempest plus brought it up to about 5500! Currently have a 23p tempest on it now doing a lot better 6100 rpms at 67mph! Thinking about trying a 4 blade 24 pitch! Trying to hit that 70 mph! Any input would help! Boat had a 10" atlas hydraulic jackplate also! Thank!

Have you raised the engine up? What is your prop to pad measurement ?

Yes I play with the hydraulic jackplate while running it! Not sure what the prop to pad measurement is! Once you get up to about 65 and are trimmed up and start coming up with jackplate she has a pretty bad chime walk!

25 FXP 4 blade is hard to beat with that combo. Before the flash mine ran 75 at 6000rpm with that prop.
Don't worry about prop to pad measurements, raise the motor until you are steady at 15psi at WOT.

The hairiest moment I had with mine was running it up past 65 and forgetting to raise my plate!! Don't trim up too far before you raise the plate. Mine likes the engine up first before I start to trim. CJ

No, different props. The OT4 will run just as good though. The TXP has the PVS holes, the FXP does not...I think.

I think the confusion is bc you said 4 blade T-bob. Pretty sure you were meaning to say 25 FXP 3 blade though.

While the power tech VMX3 is not the best prop for the boat, it's not terrible. I was able to turn it 5900ish 72 mph. Had to learn how to drive the boat first though. No amount of setup or "magical prop" is going to drive the boat for you once it lifts up on the pad. Seat time is the only cure for that.

Well I went and ran the RTO4 24p today ran it 5800 rpms at 67 mph had to come up on jackplate to 4 to get it there! Do you think trying a 23 p same prop will help me get more speed?

When you say you had to raise the jackplate to "4" or you referring to a gauge setting, or that the prop shaft is 4" below the pad? You should be at least 3-1/2" PTP (centerline of propshaft to bottom of pad with both the pad of the boat level and the engine level).

I'm referring to the 4" mark on the hydraulic jackplate!

Do you have a hotfoot? If so, have you checked it out to make sure you are getting full throttle?

Yea I do! Yes I have pulled the cover off motor to check I had thought about that also it looks to be getting full throttle!

I had the same issue on my x21 and the foot pedal was the issue. You should be able to get to 5800-6000 rpms with that prop. Good luck!

I've discussed props for this same boat I've on order with T-Bob many times, pretty sure he meant OT-4 (4 blade)
