Always go the biggest you can afford and fit in your garage. Like someone said above you can always add stuff to it later except for length. I went from a 18' boat to a 20' boat and holy crap it was night and day difference in the 2-3' and 4-6' waves. I would never go below 19'5 again.

I've never heard someone say that they bought too big of a boat. I would go with the 519 because of ride and storage space. Good luck

I have the z518c and I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase it's fast, stable, plenty of room. I've never noticed the missing 10" and love all the extras that come with the Comanche.

Having started in a 188 and moving to my 119, I suggest going with the 519. You'll be fine in the 518 but sooner or later you'll want the bigger boat. Faster, better in rough water, more storage, etc.

I have a 2012 Z518, 200 Pro XS. I love this boat, but if I would have had the extra money, I would have gotten a Z519.

Take the extra length and slowly add the options you want. I'd go with the manual jack plate and save the cash for other options. The 19 is an awesome boat.

Now comes the really hard part. The wait. Mine's been ordered for 4 weeks. Seems like forever, but I've got probably twice that still to go.

well said!!! I have also seen many post guys selling there older 519vx model or 518vx models with 200s and go to 520 models and wish they had not due to towing and fishing and cost. Everyone is different

I've had a 188, then a Z119, then a Z520 pulled with the same truck, same engine and gears. In an entire season, at least 60 days on the water and a minimum 120 mile round trip each day, there isn't $100 difference pulling or operating any of those rigs. A common assumption is made about towing costs for bigger boats, but a truck with 9000 pounds towing capacity doesn't care much whether pulling 3400 or 3800 pounds. Likewise, a 150 or 200 running 90% throttle doesn't get any better mileage than a 250 running 80% throttle, or very very little difference. The costs of the boats and engines climb quickly as they get bigger, but daily operating cost is a very minor difference.

I bought the Z119c and over the last 2 years I've added most of the bling to it that the 519c has. It's just the right size for me and I came from a 521 VX.

It's 18'8", has a wide beam that carries a lot of width to the bow and has TONS of storage.
    I don't understand your comment.
My budies 18'8 vs my 20'1" feels about 3' smaller I'd go 519 all the way.
