Chine walk is not controlled by raising the engine. Take you time and work on not over trimming. Small increments one bump at a time.

Yeah have done that but I am not getting my rpms up. Got them up to 5600 today but still feel having to trim too much to get it there. I am at 3/4 over flush on jackplate and that last little bump to get rpm to 5600 is when the chine comes in. Still learning to drive it. Just trying to get the rpms up to seat the rings in the SHO.

Do you have a prop to pad measure you can share?

Right now I am at flush with a Fury4 blade 24p. I have not really had a chance to run it but once as the Logan Martin and Neely Henry don't offer much open water to run full out on weekends without getting killed. I do like the way the Fury runs though and hope to see what it will really do when all the ski/wake boats and water lice get off the water lol.

PTP=0? Or you haven't measured prop to pad and your saying your jackplate is flush - which doesn't correlate to a PTP measure.

You're not going to seat the rings in the first 10 hours of running, because you're not supposed to hold it at any given rpm for more than a minute or two. After 10 hours, run it wide open for 30 to 40 minutes at a time to get the engine temps up which seats the rings. And you just have to bump the trim up a TINY bit at a time. Keep an eye on your water pressure.

Got my Caracal with an SHO at Brech's too, great people to deal with! I was told to keep the prop in the water...meaning that I don't put the jack plate too high. 70 to start out is pretty good, you'll get the hang of where trim and jackplate need to be as you run it more, and you'll get even more out of it. Congrats on the purchase!!

Another + for Scott at Brech Marine, he’s been amazing...I’m in AZ and I purchased my first Cat, a 2015 Caracal with 225 SHO from him...Just finished all the paperwork today...Hopefully the shipping company will pick it up 1st thing Monday morning so I should have it by Wednesday...I’m so excited...He said it has a 25P prop on it but he will exchange it if I want something else...Suggestions?
