I'm fishing it this year. It's a great tourney to fish well ran. Only down fall is a TON of boats. Last one I fished was over 500.
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

It's a great ran tournament with some great anglers but no matter where you go there a boat or 3 or 4 waiting to fish that spot!!

yes why would you fish it?
just go to Falcons store buy a couple of rods and go to Gibson or t killer and have the whole lake to yourself.

its the equivalent of Black Friday shopping ,so many boats so little time.

If you don't fish with Falcon rods...
The payout for winning sucks for a 400-500 boat tournament...
It's a well ran- fishing for fun- possibly win your entry back by dumb luck kinda tourney.

We have several boats that fish it each year, yes there are a lot of boats and yes you have to get lucky but I enjoy the day and it's a well ran tourney.

This year they are holding it out of Wolf Creek, MUCH better than Martins landing where it's always been and you can trailer to weigh in, this will eliminate my main complaint about it. You get your entry fee back in rods, tshirts, tackle, and doughnuts.

My dad and I have fished it a couple times in the past for fun, going to again this year for the first time in 5 years. Good chance to see some big fish and have a chance at accidentally drawing $10k for buying two rods effectively. Fun to watch the guys in old beat up boats hurt the feelings of guys in brand new rigs, lots of luck involved due to tourney size.

Anyone know what rods they're giving now?

I like to go for fun your not losing money after you get your rods. Some people are way to serious. That's the reason I quit tournments
