    power button problem

07' zx250 "old style". I'm not getting any power to my main power button on my dash. I've checked fuses at battery and fuse box. Today is Monday, it was working Saturday. I have push button style not switches. I do have power up to fuse box, but nothing from there to my power panel. Ant thoughts or suggestions?

Check one of your rod lockers for a master power switch, I believe starboard side. Ditto same thing happened to me on my 07' ZX190 last year as I moved something in the locker to move the switch in the off position.

Re: power button problem (skeeter 190)

thanks, I'll try looking at that also. By the way, I had the boat out Monday when I had no power. Went back to the shop and tried to figure out the problem, finally gave up for the day. Went back Tuesday morning pushed the button and low and behold I have power again. Did the same thing back in February....Its like it fixed it self over night! I don't know whats going on.

I know they had some problems with the switch panels in 05 and 06 but I thought they had them taken care of on the 07. Call your dealer and see if you have the old style. If you do get him to send you the updated model. You can change it yourself. Two screws and a wiring plug.

talked to the dealer, and they said "you should have a new dash panel by 6/2-6/3..we will see. I'll fall over if it shows up. Been thru a few songs and dances with these people before.

    Re: power button problem (sceetor)

I also am having trouble with the power button. 03zx225 w/ hpdi. Unfortunately, we found this problem while getting ready to launch for a team tourney, yesterday. When the power button is pressed, it lights up for 1 second, then goes out. There is power to the engine, trolling motor, and fuse panel, but nothing on the power board works....livewell pumps/recirc, electronics, lights, bilge. The previous owner of the boat had replaced 1 of 3 relays, located under the console, but Im not sure what it controlled. Still waiting to hear back from him. Was curious to know if sceetors panel lit up momentarily, or if it was totally dead...?

    Re: power button problem (sceetor)

I had the same problem 2 years ago. I called skeeter and they sent me a new power box and power panel. Solved the problem and haven't had any issues with it since. I installed both myself.

Dealers need to do the console install now as there is some cutting needed and Skeeter needs the old touchpad and breaker box back so they can get credit for them from their vendor.

6/4.....still no dash panel. Called dealer, acted like it was the first time they heard anything about it. Called skeeter, talked to a real nice person named Rena. She is getting things rolling for me thru her warranty manager.
I HATE MY BOAT DEALER!!!!!!! LOVE MY SKEETER THOUGH!!!!!

If they are sending you the new panel and fuse block, I would have the dealer install it. Unless you feel comfortable moving all those wires around and cutting your dash.

    Re: power button problem (frogbite)

I"ll have to take a look at it and go from there. now i already have a fuse box, not breakers, so to the best of my knowledge I'm just getting the dash panel. no one has said what exactly the problem is. The dash panel, the fuse/breaker box or a combination or it all goes hand in hand. First things first.....I have to get it.
