    My G3 Duck Boat Project

I'm working on some mods and upgrades on the G3. I've removed the factory seating to open the floor. Installed an LED light bar at the front, and will be adding a couple more smaller ones for increasing field of view. Getting the transom raised this week for the new long shaft ETEC 25. Will be adding transom lighting and side lighting for lighting for decoy throwing. Will be adding red LED strip lighting under the top rail for interior. Installing a new switch and fuse panel to accomodate the additional lighting.
I'll be doing a paint job this summer in some kind of a timber pattern, undecided at this point. Also am getting the fuel tank hydrodipped and adding a gun box for storage and seating.
These are the first pics I've taken, still quite a ways to go and will be adding more to this thread as I make progress.

The boat is in the welding shop now, getting the transom raised and some additional bracing added, getting a shroud made for the three light bars up front, and a piece of aluminum cut to replace the trolling motor receptacle plate up front. Hopefully its out today or Monday so I can get the new outboard put on.

Got the boat back from the welding shop yesterday and spent some time painting and practicing my stencil work. I need a bit more practice before I tackle the whole thing lol. Its at the shop now getting the kick plate and new outboard set up, so hopefully will have that back this evening or in the morning.

Thanks! I'm going to use the interior for practice before I do the hull. You can see a couple of spots I let the stencil rise on me but overall I'm pretty satisfied with it.

Don't sweat it - even the factory camo jobs have places like that

A few painting progress pics. Will be doing a Durabak coating on the floor as soon as it comes in.
I am going to try to finish the interior tomorrow and begin surface prep on the hull. It's coming along. My stencil skills aren't perfect but I'm getting better lol.

Looking good. Don't sweat the small stuff. Remember, boat camo is mainly for duck hunters not ducks.
