Could use one of those today. Practiced all day today. Had 5 bites on 5 different lures in 4 different creeks.

What did I learn today during practice? Not a damn thing about where the bass are or what they're eating. I did learn my helm shaft seal is leaking badly.

If you end up pre-fishing solo on a weekday again, if it's on my day off I would be glad to take the passenger seat!

Coming down with something myself. Running a slight fever coughing and getting cold then hot. Haven't had a actual cold or anything in a few years. Guess it's just my turn. Should be fishing but too many sick around me to take care of for now. Went to 2 funerals yesterday and did a lot of shaking hands and hugging. Hugging was limited to females only! Seems I am better off not getting close to anyone. It always picks me to jump on.

You lake fork guys must be really going through some hard times if you're weighing in and taking pictures of seven pounders now. Lol.

It wasn't on Lake Fork, it was on Cedar Creek. A 7lber is a big fish there. I will take a 7lber in any event on Cedar Creek and like my chances of winning big bass almost every time.

Has any grass come back to Cedar Creek or have they kept it killed out? When I started fishing the lake in the 70's, the entire lake shore was lined with grass and killed out several years later.

No grass other than some shoreline stuff but that is sparse. Mostly docks, brushpiles and rocks.
