Any Issues or Praise for BoatUS?

Anyone have any experience with BoatUS? Recommend or not and reason. Thanks.

My insurance with BoatUS was due for renewal. I decided to check with USAA since we have all our other insurance with them. Turns out USAA partners with Progressive on boat insurance. It was just over half the cost of BoatUS.

I have used BoatUS for 4 years now. I have had 2 claims with them and I have been pretty happy with their services they provide. It is reasonably priced also.

^^^^This!!! I've had 2 claims in 2 years too. Both handled professionally. I'm VERY satisfied.

I just got my renewal from Boat US and was told that both my pontoon and bass boat was going to be covered by Progressive now. Policy did not change but premium went up 10% on both. No claims in 4 years. Not happy.

Boat US is good if you are anywhere but Florida. They told me if I had problem in Florida I had to have the saltwater coverage. I said I was not goin to saltwater and I was told it didn't mater fresh water USA will not cover you on Lake Kissimmee, Okeechobee or any fresh water.

Worldwide Marine all the way. Had to file a claim this past week.
Had the rear corner of my tandem trailer fender taken off at the ramp by some idiot who turned the corner too sharp while trying to pull into the parking spot next to me. That was on Tuesday. Of course, they didn't have the common decency to leave a note, or stick around, so I had to file on my insurance. I just don't understand some people these days.
On the up side, I called WWM Wednesday morning to see how to proceed. I was instructed to call Progressive Claims who issued a claim number that day. The adjuster called me within the hour to schedule an appointment to view the damage. He showed up Thursday morning and took pictures. He said didn't think I would be happy with a repaired fender, and had already contacted BCB parts to verify cost of a replacement fender and related shipping costs. He even figured in labor and misc. parts required for a professional installation. He printed out an estimate, and authorized a check which I picked that afternoon. I had a new fender on order by 10:00am Thursday morning.
I even got a call from Bob at WWM that afternoon to make sure everything was taken care of to my satisfaction. Couldn't have had a better experience.
BTW, I got better coverage thru WWM than I had with my previous insurer for a lower premium.
