150 Four Stroke Tach

i have a 2014 150 hp four stroke. S/N 2B038003

Is there anything special with the tachometer for this engine? My factory tach is made by Beede and just has a connector with the four wires and a 10 switch DIP switch with one switch on. i assume the dip switch sets the poles but there is no info on the back of the unit.

I wanted to replace this tach and like the looks of the Faria Chesapeake unit. will there be any issue installing this tach?

Not familiar with the settings on that tach.... you may need to contact the Manufacturer.

Do you have a Smartcraft Instrument (such as a MercMonitor)? Might be a better option to consider....
