    Glock 40 review

I picked up the Glock 40, 10mm with a 6" barrel on Friday. My first glock btw. I have only ran American eagle 180 fmj and Armscor 180 fmj. The recoil is not bad at all, I'd compare it to what a 40 s&w is. Shooting was done at 20yds. for sight adjustment. This pistol lays them in there. The grip is not the most comfortable but I've not tinkered with any of the back straps yet. I have big hands, I can see this grip being less desired for small paws. The 40 is a smooth operated machine. I liketh a lot.

Now find you some grown-up ammo for that beast. There are several manufacturers that load potent hunting style ammo in 10mm. Cor-Bon, Double Tap, and Buffalo Bore all come to mind. Also a few specialty guys around that load custom ammo (Dallas Reloads is one) that make 10mm loads with bite.

G40 with a Vortex Venom is next on my list...

I just ordered a trijicon for my 40 slide. I think that will be a different experience than I am used to.
