GPS puck on back of boat

Has anyone got a picture of where they mounted their GPS puck on the back on the boat. On my last boat I had it mounted close to being over rear Transducer and not sure how much difference that make vs being right behind driver but made sense to me to have have it close to tranducer. Wanting to put the lowrance point 1 on the back somewhere.

I don't have a picture but my dealer mounted mine just in front of where one of the boarding handles mounts to the back of the boat. The GPS puck is NOT in between the two handles because you would step on it. The puck is just in front of the one side of the boarding handle and is butted up real tight just in front of the one end. I hope this makes sense ?

My previous boats I mounted it in the bilge area, to avoid stepping on it or...weird things happening to it.

I am also big on keeping the puck as close to the ducer as possible. There is already error in the GPS, dont want to add another 3-5'

This is how mine is mounted. The inside handle on the drivers side step up, right at the front of it. The spot is just big enough to fit it. I do think I get some motor interference for the heading sensor though, just not bad enough to make a change

    That's wrong Drew, but funny!!!

I think I have one with cord somewhere.

As to where the puck is located, mine is near the oil fill as well.

Having a drill with a cord is better then any cordless dewalt junk. They can't make one that the chuck don't come loose on.
