    Range finder

Been using a GPS app in my phone. Want to get a laser range finder and not break the bank. Any recommendations? Features to look for?

I dont have the need for anything fancy on my rangefinder, so I picked up a Callaway one made by Nikon. I have to say that I love it. I have used others and still find the Nikon to be the easiest

I have a Nikon COOLSHOT 20 and it works well. At the price point it locates the flag & bunkers just fine. I used to use my dad Leopold that he used for hunting and that worked great. He just wanted it back. I also have friends that use a Halo and it works great for them.

Andy just got the cool shot 20 and played 9holes with it. Very impressive!

I have a cheap one with no slope or pin seeker. The damn thing would pick up the tree behind the pin before the pin. It slowed down my play due to trying to get it on the pin. A shaky hand doesnt help either. It's in my bag and I use a Swami 4000+ GPS unit now.

Get a gps watch, it's much quicker than a rangefinder.

The only reason I have a range finder is for slope. If it didn't have slope I would still use my phone or a watch.
