    RPM Guage quit working.

My Rpm guage quit working. When you start the engine the hand blips but that's it. Is there anyway to check if it's a bad guage or something else. Motor is 225 Promax.

Swap the grey wire on the regulators to the other one. If you dont know what that is its the 2 little boxes between the cylinder banks on the very back of the motor. They have red and yellow wires coming into them. A single grey on each one- your tach is plugged into one and the other is probably plugged off. If that works be sure to write on the bad one tach bad or something.

What he said^^^^Also turn the little setting dial on the rear of the tach back and forth a bunch of times then back to where it was in the beginning. Many times the contacts inside get corroded and this will wipe then!

Ok so that means you need to replace those voltage regs at your next opportunity. Ive found over the years that when the tach wire goes out the rest of its not far behind. And i always replace them in pairs keeping the good one for a spare. Glad you got it goin again.
