    Freezing rain boat launch fail.

Feel sorry for this guy..he just wanted to go fishing. Freezing rain made things ridiculous around here though. Hard enough to walk in most areas.

ASOTIN, WA - A pickup, trailer, and boat were recovered from the Snake River south of Asotin this morning. According to a witness, the driver could not stop on the ice at the Asotin boat launch, sending his vehicle, trailer, and boat into the river. All but the boat ended up completely submerged. No injuries were reported.

Yeah, that's a recovery photo just downstream from the launch. Truck was all the way under..boat floating but still eye hooked to trailer.

Fisherman said to be fine. No injuries. Well, as fine as someone can be putting their truck underwater I guess.

Should you wear your PFD in the truck?

Everything is preventable but it's easy to see someone's fault after the incident.

Hope the angler is ok. I also hope things work out with his insurance company. This could be a lesson for all of us.

Looks like his truck tires would have grabbed once he reached the water line
