    1993 Intruder leaking gas

I put my boat in the water this morning when I started it up I noticed gas all on the water I took off the motor cowl off and noticed gas leaking around a black tube that ran into the port side top carburetor once the motor got warm it did not leak the rest of the day I took it off when I got back on the ramp it is a nipple with two O-rings that slide into the carburetor first question is what is this thing the second question is how can I fix it and what would cause it to leak I will post my model and serial numbers in just a moment thanks for your help also will try to post a picture of the tube

That is the fuel rail that carries fuel to the carbs from bottom to top.

http://www.crowleymarine.com/parts/12826.cfm need 6 and notice they price them each. so be 6x $3.99. just a google search, you can search other sites 1993 Evinrude Outboards 150 [ VE150GLETG and make decision and you can Verify part #O-Ring | 0335362

When you replace those O-rings drop the motor pan to get to the bottom fitting. That fuel manifold breaks real easy. The new rings will be brown, ethanol resistant. Up to you on that balance tube, they don't seem to cause a lot of problems. Just as well do both fuel manifolds while you at it.

Look at the under side of the pan there is one where the pan curves down , one on the rear, and one each patch front and back

Ok got the motor pan dropped. I decided to replace all 12 O-rings since both sides seems to be leaking a little bit. I will get the parts this afternoon. I checked for cracks in the fuel rail both seems good. For the most part the O-rings looked good. If there is leakage around them could this be the only reason is the O-rings even though they are not cracked? One or two did seems to have a gray film peeling of them.

If the old ones are black, they are not ethanol resistant. Lightly coat the o-rings with oil when installing them, they will slip in better.

Jug this may sound stupid but does it matter what kind of oil?

185er is correct, but I would not use 3in1 it's a different based oil.
