1 Lake Vu Ultra or 2?

Im waiting until mid Feb to order the 2017 Lake VU ultra map card. I have a pair of 93sv's and dont know if I should just order 1 or both of the cards. I really want 1 for the navigational aids to have at the helm, but Im not really sure if its worth 200 to have up front considering most of the lakes I fish arent Ultra mapped. What say you?

Makes sense. I would only buy one because Im cheap. They are easy to move back and forth - as long as you dont fumble it and drop it overboard!

Actually I wouldnt even buy one :)

As far as Nav aides, your regular built in map should have all those already. I dont think the premium charts add any extras like that. Its all things like satellite views, etc - I think. I dont see any mention of nav aides. Keep in mind, you dont get any extra depth contours either.

You can check your lake specs at www.lakes.garmin.com and see whats added in the premium maps.

Here are some nav aides on one of my local lakes. This is the built in chart.

By nav aids I mean the course plotting with safe depth, mariners eye view, and satellite imagery. I fish several lakes I'm unfamiliar with a year and before I had my garmins I would be on my phone with Google Earth trying to find fuel docks etc.

In that case it would be well worth it. Some public ramps show up on the built in charts but not all and I dont see any fuel information other than a few notes on the BlueChart.
