    metal building homes

Anyone went this route? See some nice homes you can get in the 30k range. Wondering how much more you can expect to pay to have it finished out? I will do the HVAC, and wiring...

I'm curious about this myself. They call them shouse's (shed/house) up here.

I have built a few finished shouses for customers. Depending on the layout of the interior, will determine the costs. For example, I built a 30x40 with a 20' x 12' front lean to style porch, 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths, pretty basic kitchen area for $72000. Laminate throughout and an orange peel texture on walls.

Did you put drywall on the walls? I've heard these buildings move so much (wind, etc) that drywall has a tendency to crack.
