    Exhumed coffin

Time to mod my coffin. I bought an MK Ultrex and the foot pedal is too wide to fit all the way back in the coffin. The coffin is also a little too shallow to center mount the TM (top of foot pedal can hit the TM frame when stowed). I also bought a Lowrance HDS9 Gen 3 to replace the HDS7 Gen 3 up front. I plan to Ram mount the HDS7 near the dash. Then I'll have side by side HDS7's on the dash, so I can run with a full screen map on one, sonar and structure scan on the other. Will post pics when finished. Nice winter project.

You need a good 9" of width and mine is only 7.5" at the back. Increasing mine to 10" (before carpet).

On the depth, you don't want to go too deep or it won't be easy to use your foot to hit the spot lock button on the pedal. So there's a tight window on dimensions to make everything work with a center mounted TM.
