    LakeVU contour depth markers?

Is there anyway to make it so you can see contour line depth markers when zoomed in to an area? Each contour line has a depth marker but only in a few spots, when you zoom in the numbers go away for many of the lines. On my hummingbird when you zoom in the numbers adjust to a position on the contour that you can see them.

Now you can touch a spot and it will tell you how deep it is, but not really practical to do while fishing. My work around is to use the depth shading, like 0-10 red, 10-20 blue 20-30 green, but would be nice to have the numbers right there like they do on lakemaster.

    Thanks

Try adjusting the settings under MENU/CHART SETUP/CHART APPEARANCE

There are a number of settings to play with but try DETAILS.

I believe I did that already, and set it to "most" detail. I will take a look again though.

On a separate note, is the Ultra map chip worth getting for inland lakes? None of the lake by me are max def.

Ive never used one so I dont know what features show up on lakes that are not max def. I think it needs to be at least HD to get anything extra.

You can look it up to see at www.lakes.garmin.com

You wont get any extra depth details or contour lines either way though. Just things like satelite views, underwater views, etc - but only on certain lakes.

Well, that is a bummer. Add that to a wish list.

I do the colors like that also. Just like how Lakemaster does it a bit better, and thought maybe there was a setting I was missing.

    Thanks all
