Options for decal on side of boat.

Wondering if anyone has found a good replacement for the domed decals on the side of the Nitros.

Thinking of having some made when replace mine with flat vinly decals.

Already replaced one of my Nitro decals, man they are not cheap! And that was just the Nitro name not the Z19 part included.

I'm curious as to what has caused the decals to release or come off? A professional fishing buddy of mine (a two time Jr. World Champion) that has always fished out of a Nitro has never mentioned this issue to me. He does switch out his boat for a newer one roughly every 3 years. Is this an older boat thing or is there something I can look out for to hopefully avoid this issue? I'm sure they're not cheap to replace..

In the water objects cause stickers to get chipped and peel since they are raised. I usually have to replace mine every year. Depends on your fishing environment . No stumps and they will last forever.... Well almost. And yes they are not cheap.

If I cannot find someone to do it I am gonna look at creating my own.

Two thoughts here. When I bought a Nitro many years ago, the owner had removed all the decals. I used Sign Specialists to make some custom ones. I used "Aero Extended" font. It is very close and not overly expensive. They are still on the boat today.

Also, Garzon Studios can reproduce anything you want but will be a bit more expensive but still cheaper than Nitro's.

I think just the "Nitro" sticker (not the Z** part) was $65...

The starboard 'N' and 'i' fell off the very first time my boat was ever in the water (2007). When I called the Service Dept. where I bought the boat (Springfield), they said it was a common problem at that time; something about a bad batch of adhesive (vendor problem)... I see they still haven't isolated the problem.

Anyway, I had replacements (free of charge) within a couple days... enough to do both sides. I only replaced the letters that had fallen off and I've not had any problems since.

Mine did not fall off, a few of the letters were torn from a stickup or something... The adhesive in my opinion is pretty strong but the force of a moving boat hitting a sharp stickup is no match for those domed decals...

A good quality flat decal has a better chance of survival....

Had an 08 that did have that problem. All others have not. They get ripped off, heck the adhesive is still there in most cases.

Call jordans marine in Vidor, TX. He's not a nitro dealer but a Phoenix dealer. A Phoenix has the same type decals and stumps will tear them. He has a guy that does almost all of his Merc decals to match the boat colors and has even done some decals on the side of the boat. They all looked extremely good so I'm sure he could help you out.

Just lost 2 decals this weekend tubing with the kids down at Mark Twain Lake. I lost the "N" on one side, and the "1" on the other, both on the same day. We did notice, prior to them coming off, that the silver outline began to somewhat disappear, maybe even the black bleeding into the silver outline. There was absolutely no damage to any of the decal, and no evidence of them starting to loosen. When the decals came off, they basically left the silver part almost intact still on the side of the boat. It looks like a separation issue between the black and silver sections. My boat is a 2019, only 2 months of use.

    Any ideas?

U can order new ones. I use to only replace the letters that needed it. I would have cut the N out and put it on.

If u do replace I highly suggest Flat stickers.

I had one side messed up after a trip to Fork. Just took them both off and like the cleaner looks without them. I did buy a set of them though. Stored them in case I ever change my mind.
