    2017 rt188 ProXs w/ct 24p ss tempest 4in setback plate

Ran my yesterday. Only seeing 45mph in few short burst of WOT. Seems to spray water up between setback plate and transom when I try to trim it out.

Which hole are others engines mounted? My plate I in top hole and engine is in center holes.

Has anyone tried solid PVS plugs in their prop yet?

Ran it a little the other evening. 46 or so in flat colmn and around 48mpn with little chop.
Still seeing a lot of water/spray coming up between setback plate and transom.

Not sure, the ones that came with the prop from ranger. How can you tell what plugs you have? I'll have to go out in the garage and look.

Solid plugs helped my new RT188C. It had large hole plugs in the SS prop and when I changed to solid plugs, everything improved.

My 2011 115 Opti took almost 40 hours to break in. My 2015 has 25 hours and it only turns 5500. Leave the Tempest until you get it broken in.

I finally had a chance to [sort of] really run my RT188 on LSC the other day. Hit 47.3 GPS at 5330 RPM. 3 guys totaling about 475lbs, 70lbs of gear, 1/4 tank of gas, empty livewell, mid 60 air temps. Gonna try and get out by myself soon and run a longer stretch and see if I can't break 50...

Does anyone else have a set back plate? What hole are your engines mounted on?
