    Rt198p, 150HO G2 Prop???

My new Rt198p got here yesterday. It has the Evinrude 150 HO G2 on it. Does anyone have a suggestion for which prop to use?

Congrats!! But it's not real unless we see pics ??!! I don't think anyone has posted anything on this set up yet, you might be the first! I would guess a 23p or 24p Raker 2 might be a starting point. You might ask this on the Ranger board also, might have a few dealers that have tried this rig out and could help.

Congratulations on the new boat! Exciting. Yes, we definitely need some pictures! What color? Single or Dual console?

Lots of questions about size on the boat, like deck lengths and the like.

When you get time maybe you could throw a tape measure on it and post the measurements here.

Here is the measurements we got from a 188 owner (8theB8):

    Front Deck:
94" from the cockpit end of the rod locker to the point in front of the pedal tray.
70" from the cockpit end of the rod locker to the back of the pedal tray.
45&1/2" Rear deck. Back of seats to aluminum hull inside.
    Cockpit:
29&1/2" from the front to the back. (Legroom)
19&1/2" from the widest part of the step to the starboard side under the console.
16" of leg clearance from the floor to the bottom of the console.

If you could put some numbers together it would be great for those looking at buying.

Also, 8theB8 has a bunch of cool youtube videos of his 188. Would be awesome if you wanted to do some like his on the 198. A bunch of people would enjoy seeing them.

    Here is a link to a thread about 188 and 198 RT's: http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=774106

It is being rigged now. If everything goes good I will pick it up Saturday. I bought it at C&O Marine in White Bluff Tn. Joe Engel is awesome to deal with. They call him Can Do Joe. As soon as I get the boat home, I will post pictures and measurements. i promise!

Congrats on your new boat. I have talked to a few people who bought this boat and are really liking it so far. Looking forward to seeing the pics with that etec and hearing how the boat runs.

Start with the Raker Prop, if you do decide to try a tempest prop you will have a solid backup.

Robert Buhlman, did Ranger approve a six inch plate? They would only approve a 4 inch on mine.

Do the 198s hold in the wind comparable to a smaller glass boat?
